Hah! Who am I kidding, it’s Christmas in two days and I have a four day weekend with nothing - absolutely nothing - I have to do. I’ll be squealing for the next week! In between sleeping, that is! I’ve been so tired with traveling for work, traveling to Chicago, training someone at work and then also trying to get all my work done….ah, I’m so ready to just enjoy Christmas and the New Year.
Alas, that was not what I was going to post about (as I believe that joy was captured in my last post). I was going to post a high-pitched, squeal-y post about going shopping. Yes, shopping. I’m really the get in and get out sort of shopper, and this shopping trip proved particularly productive. I finally bought some new work cloths, panties, taaaaall socks for this winter boot weather, and a really cute dress! Cannot wait to wear them! I also finally bought the new purse I’ve been promising myself but couldn’t come to terms with spending money on. But I had to cave and do some shopping. I will actually look like a professional again! Woohoo! And sexy to boot :) With a sexy new purse and briefcase. And cute clean underwear that actually fits! But I sure hope no one at work sees those….
I’m kind of scroogy about spending money on clothing and accessory items, but I think I need to remember that buying one or two things here or there will prevent the need for a large shopping trip. I have to admit though, it was really fun just throwing clothes in the cart and buying whatever and everything that I liked (though I did keep myself from going back to look at more clothes that could have potentially ended up at the checkout…). Ah well, it’s nice to have my wardrobe fixed up for a little while.
